An air dashpot that absorbs shock created when commodities are placed on the scale protects the mechanism and increases the scale life. The extra-large, recessed 14.5" (37cm) double dial is easily readable from both sides and is lithographed on metal with chrome-plated sashes and stainless steel bands.
